My New Blog

A rarity in the world of Wargames & figure painting. A female, the better half of Kev at the Cabin "Kevs Wargames Cabin" blog.
I am very new to painting, although I have put up with Kevs obsession for some time. Well if you can't beat them, join them.
I am very new to all this painting malarkey, this blog is really to show my progress as I hopefully get better. I do game sometimes, "Saga" & "Magic the Gathering". I love all things Tolkien & have a keen interest in history.
Please leave comments, (nice ones please).

Busts to paint

Well thanks to James B for sending me 2 bust heads to have a go at painting. They are beautiful figures and Kev has already primed them for me. I am so looking forward to painting them and will start this weekend. I hope I do them justice James. Will post pics at every stage. Trip to emporium on Tuesday too so maybe more figures of my own to paint, oh then triples in sheffield soon my fav event. Happy easter everyone :)

Just want to say well done to both Kev and Andy for completing the challenge with such respectable.placings on Analogue and to everyone else. It was interesting reading the posts and fantastic to see such quality and variety painting.

Not posted for a while as been busy with work commitments but hoping to get the archers finished at the weekend and more started.

I have decided to start painting other things in between the archers for variety and practice and am talking to Kev about what to do next. Maybe the elephant although not quite sure period or size being the novice I am but sounds interesting. Will post as soon as I know,

Will be watching Kev tonight as he and his mates are having an epic sea battle. Glens ships are really nice and the table looks amazing when the game is in full swing. You never know I might even get my toes wet and have a go!

First figures finished at last

Well at last the first group archers are done! Not bad if I say so myself but a quick look at the faces and any adversary would run a mile lol.
I found this very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed painting these. I still have so much to learn but will enjoy the learning part too. The faces as you can probably see are my downfall and wonder if all of my future figures will ever look like normal people.

These are for Kev's new Seige game rules soon to be on his blog.
Never considered painting before until I had broken bones and had to rest. Every cloud has a silver lining as I really do enjoy it.

Kev is to spend a little time teaching me different techniques (painting that is) but all advice very welcome.

Will be staying with 54mm for a while till all the Seige missile troops are completed and have set myself the goal of finishing all of them for him. He has a challenge for me after this, something to do with elephants???

It's Mine, my own Precious.

Kev has now transferred the blog ownership to me.
I have my own blog.
Please bear with me as I figure out how to do all this blogging stuff.

Second Entry, Workbench

I am still painting Crossbowmen.
Nearly finished this lot, then two more to go.
I think I am getting better and maybe a little faster.
Thinking about what to have a go at after the 54mm medievals are done.
Suggestions anyone ?
